The Dreaded weigh in day... du du duuuuuun!

So, the past 24 days of "eating everything and anything I ever wanted" has ended.  I figured TODAY would be the day to weigh my hot bod...  (and when I say EVERYTHING, I mean it.  Yesterday I had breakfast at the Suquamish pancake heaven, then a DQ Blizzard, and then we went to a fancy dinner on the island...  Possibly one of my worst days ever, but it sure was tasty!)

I am a big fan of owning who you are.  If you are a lard, it's only your fault that you are a lard. Not society, just you and your relationship with food. I accept this. Nobody forced me to eat at 19 delightful restaurants this month (+the casino, not sure if it fits in that catagory of "delicious," but, the prime rib was bomb, so I digress...)  Anyways, I was fully prepared to face the music of 5, 10 lbs positive on the scale...

However! I only gained a pound! ONE! Sweet! Now I can start these weight loss experiments in size 12 pants...  (though actually Jake has been on me to get new jeans as these are too big on my bootay.)

Jacob (My Hot Hubbs) goes back to work next week. So, I need to get on Amazon today and order another round of Isagenix cleanse.  I swear, this stuff is weight loss nectar from the Heavens.  It's a good way to get into ketosis real fast. (Vs. 3-5 days on Medifast.)

Ketosis, is a state where your body burns up all the readily available carbs, then starts eating away at the fat we have stored all over.  Doing this, you have to eat more protein, and less carbs... So, hello bacon, goodbye potatoes.  (I'll go more into this later, but I think it is crucial to my success!)

My short term goal, is to be in size 10 pants by March.  It's really best to set reasonable goals, that way if you want to eat some potatoes, life still goes on.  I also know that since March is my birthday month, Hubs won't be able to say no when I want to buy some schmancy new jeans... I already have my eye on some at a shop downtown BI.

My long term goal is to be a size 7-8 in time for surfing season.  Once I hit this goal, I'm going to take my wedding ring in to get sized permanently.  My gorgeous, one-of-a-kind ring is a size 4.5, and can only be sized down once more.  It fell off once while Jake was deployed, and while that was a nice reminder that I'm losing weight.... I panicked since it cost more than my car. . .

...Tomorrow, picking fashions for your body shape.

First Things First!

Aloha All!

I so lovingly refer to all things weight loss in my life as "fat camp."  Some fat camp blows, and some is none too shabby.  I've found that some of the diets of today are vomit inducing. Gross.  I'm working on some ways to make Medifast less horrid, and more delish...and cheaper to boot!  I'm also working on some scientific ways of losing weight without all the hoopla, and fads...so, here we go!

It's still December, and I intend on being a fattie until the clock strikes NEW YEAR in a couple days, why not?!

In the meantime:

1. Working on solid goals... -8lbs a month!
2. Getting my booty back to the gym (I broke my foot this Fall, and used that as a (albeit good) excuse to not run.  Probably a good idea on my part ;)

If you don't have a Heart Rate Monitor, I would get one...and start calculating how many calories you burn a day, so you have a baseline.  That's a good start.

Oh! I'm not a doctor, I'm not a therapist, I don't want to be.  You must consult your doctor before you do anything I do or say... You gotta put your safety first!
